As this website endures its umpteenth makeover, it is well past time to admit a few things:
- Writing/creating/performing to a hyper-specific audience has had the exact opposite effect that marketing experts claimed that it would.
- The algorithms that govern content distribution heavily penalize me for not being a single-niche human– and that’s before we even get to content. (That’ll teach me to have multiple intersecting non-privileged identities. How dare!)
- Segmenting my creative efforts is breaking my brain, and I hate it.
So I’m done.
I’m done trying to make everything look professional, whatever that is.
I’m done researching tactics for this, that, and the other.
If you find me, you find me. If you don’t, you don’t.
The muses will still be here with me as I go from painting to ttrpg creation to novel writing to five-part choral composition to podcasting to channeling and back again.
Really, the only difference is that this time it will all be together instead of scattered across the internet.
So get ready, blog. We’re coming home.
